By downloading, installing, or using Zonp ("the App"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Zonp is a mobile wallet application that enables peer-to-peer commerce using Zcash (ZEC) cryptocurrency. It provides tools for sellers to list items, publish storefronts, and receive payments, and for buyers to browse, scan QR codes, and make purchases — all through shielded Zcash transactions.
When you create a wallet in Zonp, a 24-word seed phrase is generated on your device. This seed phrase is the only way to access your funds. Zonp does not store, transmit, or have access to your seed phrase. If you lose your seed phrase, your funds are permanently inaccessible. Zonp cannot recover them for you.
You are solely responsible for:
Zonp is a non-custodial application. We never hold, control, or have access to your cryptocurrency. All transactions occur directly on the Zcash blockchain between buyer and seller. Zonp cannot reverse, refund, or modify any transaction once it is broadcast to the network.
When you publish a storefront through Zonp, your store information (name, description, items, photos, and Zcash address) is uploaded to IPFS and registered in our directory. This content is public and permanent by design. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of all content you publish.
You agree not to use Zonp storefronts to sell:
Zonp operates a reputation system where buyers can rate sellers after verified transactions. Ratings are publicly visible and linked to Zcash addresses (not personal identities). We reserve the right to flag or remove ratings that appear fraudulent, abusive, or generated by automated systems.
Zonp does not mediate disputes between buyers and sellers. Because all transactions are peer-to-peer and irreversible, we strongly encourage buyers to verify seller reputation before making purchases and to start with small transactions when dealing with new sellers.
The value of ZEC fluctuates. Prices displayed in USD within the App are estimates based on third-party price feeds and may not reflect the exact value at the time of transaction. You accept all risks associated with cryptocurrency volatility, network fees, transaction delays, and blockchain reorganizations.
Zonp relies on third-party infrastructure including Zcash lightwalletd servers, IPFS gateways, and our backend API. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of any of these services. The App is provided as-is.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zonp and its developers shall not be liable for any loss of funds, data, profits, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. This includes but is not limited to losses caused by: seed phrase loss, transaction errors, network failures, software bugs, price volatility, or third-party service outages.
We may update these terms as the App evolves. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Zonp is built with open-source technologies including the Zcash SDK, React Native, and Expo. The App itself is a proprietary application.
